Announcing the Closing Keynote Speaker
Every March needs great inspiration. We have previously announced who will start the March to Freedom but if you have missed that announcement, Tarus Balog of OpenNMS.org will rally the forces in the morning.
To close the March to Freedom we present Bradley M. Kuhn, Executive Director, Software Freedom Conservancy. Bradley's closing keynote entitled "Software Freedom Conservancy: Non-Profit Infrastructure for FLOSS" we believe will prove to be a perfect fit as we March to Freedom.
For those of you who are unaware of Bradley M. Kuhn here is a bio about him.
Kuhn joined the Free, Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) Movement
as a volunteer in 1992, as an early adopter of GNU/Linux, and a
contributor to various FLOSS projects. He worked during the 1990s as a
system administrator, software developer, and high school Computer
Science teacher. Kuhn's non-profit career began in 2000, when he was
hired by the Free Software Foundation (FSF). As FSF's Executive
Director from 2001-2005, Kuhn led FSF's GPL enforcement, launched its
Associate Member program, and invented the Affero GPL. From 2005-2010,
Kuhn worked as the Policy Analyst and Technology Director of the
Software Freedom Law Center. Currently, Kuhn is a Director of FSF, and
is President and Executive Director of the Software Freedom
Conservancy, which Kuhn co-founded in 2006. Kuhn holds a summa cum
laude B.S. in Computer Science from Loyola University in Maryland, and
an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.
